Thinking clearly about complex work.

Supervision and consultation are most useful when clinical work feels difficult to organize, emotionally charged, or conceptually stuck. I provide supervision and consultation focused on clarifying formulation, understanding patterns shaping the work, and supporting intentional clinical decision-making.

This is active, collaborative work. The focus is on strengthening clinical judgment, increasing flexibility, and supporting thoughtful, ethical practice in complex situations.

Clinical supervision and consultation for Oregon clinicians and teams.

A structured, depth-oriented approach.

My approach to supervision and consultation is grounded in psychodynamic theory, attachment, and trauma-informed care, with attention to how context and systems shape both client presentation and clinician experience.

Our work often includes:

  • Developing clear, working formulations

  • Identifying patterns that repeat across sessions or relationships

  • Understanding how avoidance, rigidity, or over-functioning shows up in the work

  • Using countertransference as clinical information

  • Making deliberate, intentional treatment decisions rather than reactive shifts

The goal is to support clear thinking that translates into effective clinical action.

I currently provide clinical supervision for pre-licensed clinicians practicing in Oregon. Currently, I am not accepting additional supervisees. When supervision openings become available, this page will be updated to reflect that.

Supervision is well suited for clinicians working with higher-acuity presentations where diagnostic clarity, formulation, pacing, and boundary management matter, including:

  • Complex trauma and trauma-related conditions

  • Long-standing relational, identity, or emotional regulation difficulties

  • Neurodivergence and overlapping diagnostic presentations

  • Work in institutional or high-structure settings

Supervision focuses on building strong clinical thinking, tolerating ambiguity, and developing an approach that is both effective and sustainable.

Scope of supervision.

Focus of consultation.

I offer consultation for licensed clinicians, treatment teams, and organizations, including time-limited or case-specific consultation.

Consultation may focus on:

  • Complex or ambiguous case formulation

  • Differential diagnosis and pattern-level understanding

  • Clinician reactivity, countertransference, or parallel process

  • Ethical or boundary questions in complex work

  • Team dynamics or patterns emerging across cases

  • Work in correctional, forensic, or other institutional settings

Consultation is available regardless of licensure status and does not involve ongoing supervisory responsibility.
