Work that goes beneath the surface.
Thoughtful, integrative psychotherapy and evaluation in Oregon.
Ophidia Psychology is an Oregon-based private practice offering psychotherapy, evaluation, clinical supervision, and consultation for adults and clinicians.
The work here goes beneath the surface. My approach is integrative and depth-oriented, grounded in careful assessment and collaborative understanding. Treatment attends to the full context of a person’s life, including patterns, identity, meaning, and the ways past experiences continue to shape the present.
This practice is designed for people who want thoughtful, psychologically rigorous care — work that prioritizes understanding over quick fixes, and change that holds up outside the therapy room.

New to therapy?
You don’t need to know what to say or have a clear plan before starting. Many people come in unsure of what therapy will be like or whether it will help. That’s OK. Early sessions focus on understanding what’s bringing you in and whether this feels like a good fit.
If you’re skeptical, uncertain, or have had mixed experiences with therapy before, that’s welcome here too.
What to expect.
A professional, grounded space
Sessions are structured, confidential, and focused. You don’t need to perform, impress, or have the right words. The work starts where you are.Transparency and direct communication
If I notice something relevant, like a pattern, shift, or dynamic, I’ll name it. Therapy works best when things are out in the open, and you won’t be left guessing about what I’m seeing or why we’re focusing on certain areas.Honest expectations about the process
Change isn’t always comfortable. As we address avoidance, long-standing patterns, or painful material, symptoms or emotions may intensify before improving. We’ll pay attention to this together and adjust pacing as needed, without losing sight of your goals.Clear structure and boundaries
You can expect consistency, reliability, and respect for your time and limits. Sessions are intentional and paced with sustainability in mind.Emphasis on real-world impact and long-term results
The goal is for therapy to support how you function in daily life, with greater emotional control, stronger relationships, and less reliance on avoidance — so you can respond intentionally instead of react automatically.
